About my work

Hi, I’m Christan. I’m a senior at NC State, majoring in Communication-Public Relations. Although my major is not concentrated in Media, specifically, I signed up for COM 267: Electronic Media Writing in order to broaden my horizons with communication media. My work on these pages is a reflection of the coursework I completed during the fall semester of 2010. I hope to gain an internship in my final semester of college, possibly with a radio station, so maybe my work with this blog and its corresponding pages can help with that process. After I am done with my internship, I am projected to graduate in May 2011. Following my undergraduate career, I plan to attend Graduate school and earn my Master’s in Elementary Education.
I have included in various pages, several assignments from class including my professional blog, an audio-visual assignment and a group podcast. My blog is a direct reflection of something that is of great interest to me, and that is cooking. I grew up in a home where my mom cooked incredible meals every night, so I have a lot to measure up to. Through writing this blog, I was able to research and create new meals to try. Most of them turned out great, and I learned a lot along the way. In my opinion, the blog was a success and I’m pleased it turned out so professional.
I encourage you to visit my other pages for more information about the other assignments I created.

My peers also created similar projects. One of my classmates, Carrie McGaha, has a very interesting page. You can visit her work by clicking on this link.
