About half way through the semester, we were assigned our audio-visual assignment where we would be creating our own, individual, news report. Before we could begin work on the video portion, we had to have our idea and script approved by our instructor. My idea for this video came from the realization that Southern sporting events, particularly football, are unique from the North in the realm of fashion. In the South, a great number of people dress up for the games and tailgate portion of game-day. I decided to report on this difference in cultures and had a lot of fun doing so. I used library equipment to record and edit my news report, recruiting the help from friends to be interviewed and to act as camera-man while I was playing reporter. I completed the editing on iMovie with voiceovers recorded on the Audacity program.
